Future Update Plans Notice (July - August)
GM Chronicles 07/20/2023

Hello, this is Eun-jae Lee, the chief producer of Summoners War: Chronicles.

I would like to inform you about the updates planned for July and August.
Before we get onto that, here are the updates planned for Jul. 27th.

◆ Jul. 27th Update Details
※ Details of the update and its schedule are subject to change.
First, I would like to talk about the new Monsters, 5★ Chakram Dancer and Boomerang Warrior.

First up is the Chakram Dancer.
The Fire attribute warrior applies DEF DOWN and an AoE stun, applying DMG Taken UP to the target when attacking together.
The Water attribute warrior deals DEF penetration damage when the target's HP is below 50% and the damage is increased based on the target's lost HP. When attacking together, it deals DEF penetration damage when the target's HP is below 50%, removing 1 harmful effect on itself and applying ATK UP.
The Wind attribute warrior decreases the DEF, applies Unrecoverable, and deals fixed damage equal to 10% of the target's MAX HP when attacking together.
The Light attribute warrior applies Stun and Bleed. When attacking together, it increases the target's harmful effect duration and level.
The Dark attribute warrior removes the target's beneficial effect and applies Poison if successfully removed. When attacking together, it removes all beneficial effects from the target and applies Poison if successfully removed.
When Chakram Dancer uses Skill 1, it requests a co-op attack to the Boomerang Warrior in the same team.

Boomerang Warriors have the following concepts per attribute.
The Fire attribute mage applies an irresistible Stun to the target and additionally stunning nearby targets. Stunned targets take increased damage. It applies DEF DOWN when attacking together.
The Water attribute archer deals damage based on the ATK SPD and applies Unrecoverable to the target. Also, each hit applies ATK DOWN and DEF DOWN, and it takes reduced damage from enemies with a beneficial effect. It removes 1 harmful effect from itself and increases the ATK SPD when attacking together.
The Wind attribute archer deals increased damage if the target's ATK is low, and applies Oblivion, DEF DOWN, and ATK DOWN. It removes 1 harmful effect from itself and increases the ATK when attacking together.
The Light attribute mage deals damage based on its ATK SPD. Its skill cooldown is reduced when hitting a target with a harmful effect and also applies DEF DOWN. It removes a harmful effect from itself, increases the ATK, and reduces the skill cooldown when attacking together.
The Dark attribute archer applies Unrecoverable, DEF DOWN, and ATK DOWN. It steals 1 beneficial effect per skill hit and applies it to itself and the Chakram Dancer. It deals damage based on the number of beneficial effects it has when attacking together.
Likewise, it requests a co-op attack to the Chakram Dancer every time it uses Skill 1.

In addition, Star Sculptor transmogrifications of Boomerang Warrior and Chakram Dancer will be added.

A new skill effect, "Oppress", will be added.
"Oppress" is an effect that increases the skill cooldown upon receiving a skill cooldown reduction effect and decreases the HP.

Rune set effects will be improved.
Shield Rune: The Shield equal to 200% of the user's ATK that was applied to the user will be applied to all team members, and the Shield amount will be changed to 250% of the target's ATK.
Swift Rune: The increase in ATK SPD will be adjusted from 25% to 35%.

The Monster balance will be adjusted.
Skills of the following 5★ Monsters will be adjusted.
Fire: Mermaid, Sky Dancer, Undine,
Water: Magic Knight, Undine, Occult Girl
Wind: Mermaid, Sky Dancer, Undine, Valkyrja, Nine-tailed Fox
Light: Vampire Hunter, Pirate Captain
Dark: Panda Warrior, Hell Lady, Sky Dancer, Magic Knight
Among 4★ Monsters, Dark Vagabond's skills will be adjusted.

The Summoner balance will be adjusted.
The skill effect of Orbia's Tornado and Meteor Strike will be improved.

Next are the changes to the Collection Challenge.
Collection Challenge will be changed from monthly to weekly challenges.
4 weekly missions of a common theme will be provided in various difficulties.
Each week provides missions of a different theme.

Summon Altar will be improved.
When you obtain a 5★ Light/Dark Monster you already own, you will get a chance to re-summon at a certain cost within 24 hours.
The Monster you just summoned will not appear again when you re-summon, but a different Monster you already own may appear. Re-summon will not be provided again in this case.
If you used Light and Darkness Scrolls (including Legendary and Transcendence LD scrolls) to obtain duplicate 5★ Light/Dark Monsters before the update, we will retroactively grant you an item that lets you re-select future 5★ Light/Dark duplicates for free based on the number of duplicates. This item grants additional rerolls regardless of the Crystal rerolls.
* You cannot reroll additionally with this item if you rerolled with Crystals but haven't confirmed your choice yet.

However, we have excluded duplicates from Mystical/Legendary/Transcendence Scrolls as we can't tell if they were obtained through the Altar's Blessing.

Account Level Shop will be added.
An "Account Level Benefit" category will be added to the Package Shop, and products can be purchased according to the account level.
5★ Devilmon, Blessing Marble, Transcendence Scroll, Light and Darkness Legendary Scroll, Light and Darkness Transcendence Scroll, and other items can be purchased using Crystals according to the account level.

Guild Siege Battle will also be improved through the Jul. 27th update, and the regular season will begin on Jul. 31st.
We will also be hosting various events for you to enjoy.

The [To the Intense Battlefield] event, which provides rewards for participating in the Battlefield, and the [Cloud Island] event which provides 5★ Wind Sylph and Devilmon through gameplay will be held.

These are the updates planned for the next week. We hope you enjoy them.

Next are the updates planned for August.

◆ August Planned Update Details
※ Details of the update and its schedule are subject to change.
New Summoner Soleta will be introduced in August, as well as improvements to a variety of content.

First of all, a new Summoner Soleta will be added to the game.
(Equipment and outfits of existing Summoners will be added exclusively for Soleta)

Soleta is a younger Summoner in the Rahil Academy compared to Kina, Orbia, and Cleaf and will begin the story at a later stage.
Thus, you must progress the story up to Rudelin Village as one of the existing Summoners to unlock Soleta. Soleta will enter Rudelin Village via a different route from the existing Summoners.

Soleta is an archer who deals uses ranged attacks on a single target and empowers herself and her allies.
Since she mainly uses basic attacks, her burst damage is relatively low, but deals lots of damage over time. She also has a movement skill that allows her to keep a safe distance from opponents.
The Fire attribute specializes in effectively taking down tanks with high HP and DEF through effects such as DEF DOWN and fixed damage based on the MAX HP.
The Water attribute has the fastest barrage of attacks of any attribute, leaving her enemies at bay.
The Wind attribute indirectly nullifies her enemies through DoT, Sleep, and Block Harmful Effect Removal, and uses a special effect called Contagion to spread harmful effects to nearby enemies.
The Light attribute deals lots of damage with each hit and becomes even stronger when attacking the same target.
The Dark attribute specializes in gathering enemies and blocking their abilities using Oblivion, Push, and Root, and uses skills more frequently the more she attacks enemies.

Next, we'd like to expand on the Energy revamp and reduce matchmaking content so that players can easily access the content they want at any time.

Rupture, with limited daily access, will be changed to single-player content where Energy can be used to enter unlimitedly.
(Weekend-only Path of Oblivion will continue to be available as a one-time free entry)

Raid support entries will now consume Energy. Restrictions will be removed, and rewards will be granted accordingly.

Seal, the 6-player party dungeon, will be temporarily changed to a 3-player party dungeon.
Afterward, Seal will be changed to competitive single-player content.

Secret Dungeon will be improved.
The existing Secret Dungeon will be revamped into a new single-player dungeon called Illusion Garden.
The list of obtainable Monsters will change every week, and all 4★ LD Monster pieces excluding collab Monsters will be available. 5★ Monster Harp Magician can also be obtained as Monster pieces (This will be updated to include Fire/Water/Wind Harp Magician in the future).
There are 7 difficulty levels based on the PWR, and Quick Battle support will also be available. This dungeon can be entered 7 times a week.
Illusion Garden will require certain team compositions that must be fulfilled to enter, just like Expedition.
Secret Energy used to enter the existing Secret Dungeon will be made exchangeable for Energy or Gold in Casslan.

Elite Raid will be improved.
Quick Join will be renamed to Find Party, and Quick Join will be changed to a single-player feature.
Quick Join will allow you to play all Raids, excluding the Hero Raid as a single player, and will grant you Prof. Luna's buff upon entry. Prof. Luna's buff will also be improved.
Raid strategies for Naraka, Kaliya, and Farakel will also be modified accordingly.
Of course, they will still be available for party play.

Galagos Ruins will be improved.
Activity will not be used up for defeats.
Different ruins will require different activity requirements, which can be checked before you enter the ruins. Monsters with lower activity than the requirement cannot enter the ruins or be switched.
Monster activity requirements will increase, and rewards will also increase accordingly.

The Soul Connection feature will be added, which transfers ability between Monsters.
The Monster that gives the ability must reach the MAX level, awakening level, and skill enhancement.
Once you register a Monster that fulfills the conditions and select a Monster to receive the ability, the selected Monster will gain MAX level, awakening level, and skill enhancement.
Connected Monsters cannot be developed or restored until the connection is removed.
A development cost will be necessary to use this feature, and will enable you to try out various Monsters you may not have had the chance to play with.

Bonus Book points for each attribute of 5★ Monsters will be newly added.
Points will accumulate when you obtain a 5★ Monster of each attribute. Accumulated points can be used to raise the Monster Book level of your choice. Summons you've completed before will also be retroactively applied.
You can raise the Book level by up to 10 per attribute and the used points can be reset at a certain cost so you can retrieve and raise the level of other Monster Books.
We hope you can experience the effects of a higher-level Book through Book points.

The Battlefield season will be held every 4 weeks, instead of 1. The type of Battlefield will change every 4 days.
The upper limit of PWR will be applied based on the schedule. Your PWR will be lowered if it exceeds the upper limit.
Battlefield Shop will also be revamped according to the new 4-week cycle.
We considered resetting titles every season, but we will see how it goes in this update and consider it for the next update.

Guild Siege Battle will be improved.
All 50 members of the guild can now participate, instead of 25.
With 25 participating members, 10 Attack Tickets will be allocated to each member for both halves. If there are more than 25 participating members, 250 Attack Tickets will be split between the participating members.
The amount of loot will increase based on the number of participating members.
25 defense camps can be registered and placed.
You can now check the attack and defense info of all guild members to make it easier to track the battle situation.
Attack orders can now be given by Veterans as well as the Guild Master.
The reward page will be improved to make rankings and loot rewards more intuitive.

Profession Research Tower can now be built in Guild Town.
The tower's appearance will change according to the level and the crafting cost of all guild members will be reduced.
You must donate materials to construct the tower and increase its level. Guild Points and Guild Coins will be given as a reward for donating.
We will continue to make improvements to the Guild Town.

Next up are QoL improvements.
Quick Battle will be available in Area Dungeons.
You'll be able to customize the chat window settings by category (World/Party/Guild).
Rune and equipment icons will now show if Effect Stones, Spell Books, Gems, Moon Stones, or Sun Stones are equipped.
The cost for Repeat Requests will now be consumed upon completion.
Thus, canceling in the middle of a Repeat Request will not consume currencies.
Quick Battle will now be applied to the Challenge Arena.
An option to omit the exploration squad cutscene will be added.

These are the updates planned for August.
Other than what's mentioned above, various events are being prepared for our 1st anniversary on the Korean server.

Updates including more balance adjustments, Guild Infinite Raid, weapon and sub-weapon transmogrifications, and new main quests are planned to be added after August. We hope you stay tuned for more updates and enjoy Chronicles.

Thank you.
