Guild Siege Battle Future Improvement Notice
GM Chronicles 07/20/2023

Greetings from <Summoners War: Chronicles>.

Since the announcement of the Guild Siege Battle Notice on Jul. 17th, we have noticed that many players have been asking for more details about the improvements that will be made.

In this notice, we will be breaking down the improvements to the Guild Siege Battle in further detail to help address some of your questions.

First is the improvement of the rankings calculation method.

As mentioned in the previous notice, it is highly unlikely that points will be tied as the duration of the regular season is longer than the preseason. However, we will broaden the range of points that are awarded based on how many bases are captured or how many attacks were attempted to clarify the rankings and minimize the chance of tied points.

We have taken into account a variety of situations, such as determining the rank of guilds with the same points or being matched into a 1vs1 (1 guild vs 1 guild) Guild Siege Battle. We hope this can help guilds compete for higher rankings.

Next is the expansion of the number of participating members in Guild Siege Battle.

Up to 25 members can participate in the defense and will remain unchanged from the preseason. On the other hand, the number of guild members who can participate in the attack will be changed to a maximum of 50 members.

In addition, the Attack Ticket allocation method will be changed accordingly.

If there are 25 or fewer members participating in the attack, each member will receive 10 Attack Tickets. If there are more than 25 attacking members, 250 Attack Tickets will be allocated to each guild, which will be divided by the number of participating members and distributed to each member. If any Attack Tickets are left over after dividing the total allocation by the number of participating members, they will be distributed to the Guild Master, Veterans, and to members in descending order of PWR.

Furthermore, if there are more than 25 participating members, more loot boxes will be given according to the number of participants.

A minimum of 25 loot items will be given, and this number will increase according to the number of attacking members if there are more than 25 attacking members. In other words, the loot count for all participating guilds will be shown as 25 before the tallying period, but guilds with more than 25 attacking members will see their loot count increased based on the number of attacking members once the tallying period has ended.

We are also changing the base capturing method.

We have heard from players that it is unfair to only need to destroy the last defense camp to capture a base regardless of the previous battle history. Thus, we will change the capture method so that the first guild to destroy all 5 defense camps of a base will capture it.

The Guild Siege Battle status display is also being improved.

Tapping the “Battle Status” button on the bottom right of the Guild Siege Battle screen will now show the attack and defense history of guild members as well as the information that was previously shown.

For more strategic play, we are changing the PWR display of defense camps.

We have taken into account the feedback that viewing the details of the opponent’s PWR makes defense strategies less meaningful. Thus, the total PWR will now be shown in 100k units instead of showing individual PWRs.

The opponent’s team will now appear in the battle history.

Instead of simply listing the win/loss information, we are adding tooltips to show the team information at the start of the battle to make it more intuitive to remember or recall the details of the Monsters in the opponent’s team, such as level, etc.

We are making it easier to check the loot box rewards obtained by members.

The first screen of the loot box pop-up will show a list of loot box information and how each item can be obtained. In particular, you will be able to check all the loot box items that were available in each round, by season and round.

Moreover, you can tap an opened loot box to check which player obtained what reward.

Lastly, changes made to the equipment in use in Guild Siege Battle will now be reflected immediately.

Runes and Summoner equipment used in Guild Siege Battle will be separated from those used in other content to make it easier to use or manage equipment.

This wraps up the summary of the key improvements and changes to the Guild Siege Battle. Since the game is widely played by Summoners from various regions, it often takes time to consolidate a variety of feedback and incorporate it into the game.

We assure you that the Chronicles team is always listening to your feedback and working around the clock to provide you with a more enjoyable Chronicles experience.

Thank you.
