DEV'S NOTE

Future Updates Notice
GM Chronicles 08/11/2023

Hello, this is Eunjae Lee, the producer of Summoners War: Chronicles.

Summoners War: Chronicles is celebrating the first anniversary of its launch in Korea.

Although the events are based on the first anniversary of the service in Korea, we wanted to extend the benefits of this event to all Summoners, rather than limiting the events to the Korea server.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has played Summoners War: Chronicles.

We will be discussing future updates, but first, we will go through the details of the Aug. 24th updates which include the 1-Year Anniversary Event.

◆ Aug. 24th Planned Updates

First up is the 1-Year Anniversary Event.

A 1-Year Anniversary Event exclusive village and stage will be added. Field events, treasure hunts, and 1-Year quests will be available in the event village.

There are 21 1-Year stages in total, and the boss stage comes in 5 difficulty levels.

Stages will be unlocked sequentially over 3 weeks. 1-Year Medals and various rewards can be earned by clearing stages.

You will earn points based on the Medals used, which can be used to purchase Summoner Transformation Potions, 1-Year Scrolls, Harpu Transmog, and various development currencies at the Point Exchange.

There are 6 types of Summoner Transformation Potions, which will turn you into a Chibi Naraka, Penguin Knight, Mischievous Bat, Harg, Lizardman, and Mushroom.

You can also use the Monster’s skills in battle after transforming.

[Chibi Naraka Transformation]

The 1-Year exclusive Little Birdie Harpu transmogrification can also be obtained from the event.

1-Year Scrolls can be used on the 1-Year Special Summon page.

Unlike the existing summon, you can select a Monster of your choice (Fire/Water/Wind) to increase its summon rate.

40% Rate UP was applied to the existing Rate UP summon, but the 1-Year summon will have a 50% Rate UP.

As the summon target can be changed any time, the summon mileage will provide 1 Light and Darkness Scroll, instead of a guaranteed summon for every 30 summons.

The 1-Year Rune Shop will give you a chance to check the Rune’s properties before purchasing it with points.

If there are no desired Rune properties, you can use a certain amount of points to refresh the list.

To celebrate the 1-Year anniversary, free Crystals will be sent out based on the date of account creation and account level.

1-Year Summoner outfits have been added. Purchasing the outfit package will earn you outfits of all 4 Summoners.

Siege Battle rules will be changed.

The rule for isolated bases has been changed. Any base not connected to the main base will now be considered an isolated base.

The rule for base capturing has been changed. The first guild to destroy all defense camps in the enemy base will capture the base, instead of the guild that destroys the last defense camp in the base.

◆ Future Updates

Next, we will go through the upcoming updates.

The information provided on the developer’s note may not be identical to the actual update.

Any issues discovered during testing may be tweaked or removed.

However, we deliver the details of future updates to give you a glimpse of what you can expect to see in the future.

First, we’ll talk about the new Monsters.

We would like to inform you about the new 5★ Monster Paladin which will be added in the first update of September.

Fire Paladin recovers the target’s HP and pulls in enemies within the area to apply Root and Block Harmful Effect Removal. Also, it removes harmful effects and applies DEF UP to allies. It recovers the HP of itself and the target every time a team Monster successfully applies a DoT effect.

Water Paladin removes the target’s beneficial effect and applies Provoke. It gains a Shield based on the damage dealt. It removes all harmful effects on itself and counterattacks when attacked, also removing harmful effects from allies and granting a Shield. If the Shield is destroyed, it recovers the HP of team members by a certain amount. When an enemy or an allied Monster uses Mana gain/loss or Mana Regen SPD UP/DOWN, it removes all beneficial effects on the target Summoner, increasing the Mana cost and dealing fixed damage based on the HP.

Wind Paladin removes harmful effects on allies, grants Invincibility to team members, provokes enemies, recovers its HP, and grants a Shield to allies. The damage taken decreases based on the Evasion, and grants a Spell Shield to itself when an attack is evaded. In Raids, it grants ATK UP when recovering a team member.

Light Paladin provokes the enemy and grants Invincibility to itself. It recovers the target with the lowest HP, granting both DEF UP and Invincibility. It removes harmful effects on allies and restores the destroyed HP of team members, also providing recovery.

Dark Paladin grants recovery and DEF UP to the target with the lowest HP and deals bonus damage to the enemy based on the recovery given. It applies Unrecoverable and Provoke to the target, granting a Shield to itself when hit by an enemy skill and gaining increased damage when shielded. It applies DEF UP to team members if it doesn't have DEF UP when it receives ATK UP and applies ATK UP to team members if it doesn't have ATK UP when it receives DEF UP.

Next to be added to the Chronicles world are Phoenix and Beast Rider.

Phoenix and Beast Rider will be added in September and October respectively.

Beast Rider can dismount its beast once it loses all its HP during battle, continuing the battle off the beast.

We’re considering a way for Lv. 15 equipment to be additionally enhanced using additional enhancement items.
