Summoners War: Chronicles

Hello, this is Summoners War: Chronicles PD Eun-jae Lee.

We will be welcoming the annual summer rain in Korea. I hope everyone stays safe in the hot weather.

I’ll be sharing some details of the updates planned to be released in July. 

The Evangelion Collaboration will be held for a month starting the 2nd week of July.

Angels from another dimension will appear in the world of Chronicles and the Evangelion pilots will be summoned to stop the invasion.

Shinji and Rei will appear first and Asuka and Mari will appear the following week.

You’ll be able to use the existing Mystical Scroll to summon the Evangelion pilots and also use the event scroll, Nerv Mystical Scroll.

You’ll get 2x mileage with a guaranteed chance when you use the Nerv Mystical Scroll.

Fire/Water/Wind attributes will be guaranteed with 200 summons as always, and Light/Dark attributes will be guaranteed with 1,500 summons. (It will be changed to 100 summons and 750 summons each when you use the Nerv Mystical Scroll.)

Additionally for Light/Dark attribute mileage,

right now the 5★ Fire/Water/Wind acquisition rate in at 1% so you’ll be able to get the 5★ Monster with about 100 summons. Normally, you would need to summon 250 times to get a specific Monster with the pickup rate, but we’ve applied the guaranteed summon to be at 200 summons currently. 

The acquisition rate is at 0.01% when you apply the above standard to Light/Dark mileage, resulting in having to summon a total of 10,000 times, and you’ll need to summon about 20,000 times (even if you apply the existing reduced mileage) with the pickup rate. But the standard is purely for the Mystical Scroll and since various scrolls and reward systems have been added currently to supplement, which decreases the difficulty and hence it has been set to be 1,500 times to be reasonable. 

Light/Dark attributes will be available to acquire only during the collaboration period and you’ll be able to mimic the abilities of the Monsters with Meta Clone afterwards. Our goal is to give merits to the original Monsters before the mimicking becomes available and also add value to owning the Monster for appearance purposes.

Fire/Water/Wind attributes will wear Plugsuits for the appearance and Light/Dark attributes will wear school uniforms.

Shinji is a warrior-type with Water and Dark attributes and Rei is a knight-type with Wind and Light attributes.

Asuka and Mari will appear in the game on the third week of July.

Asuka is an assassin-type with Fire and Dark attributes and Mari is an archer-type with Fire and Light attributes.

(Please note that the new White Night Summon won’t be held during the collaboration period.)

We’re also preparing various events for the Evangelion Collaboration.

Check-in Event, Collab Quest, Battle against the Angels, Ranking Event, Mission per Pilot Events are being prepared.

You’ll be able to get Water Shinji and Fire Mari for free through the event and you’ll also be able to get the Nerv Mystical Scroll from the event.

Next, we will be adjusting Monster balancing.

Boomerang Warrior and Chakram Dancer of all attributes will be adjusted once again. We’re thinking of making changes so that they’re used for Siege Battle specifically instead of commonly.

2 new stories will be added to Joshua’s Bookshelf.

Amazon Legendary Artifact will be added.

The Rate UP Summon has been excluded since it’s a 4★ Artifact, you’ll be able to get it for free through an event since it’s hard to acquire the attribute of your choice randomly.

The Sky Dancer’s Artifact will be added next, so please keep that in mind. 

Next, let’s talk about the update planned for the 4th week of July.

The Siege Battle will be revamped.

The Siege Battle schedule will be changed from being held on Tue/Wed to being held 3 times on Mon/Tue/Wed and the MAX Siege Score will also be increased as the schedule has been expanded.

The defense deck that lost the battle in a base will no longer be available to use on another base.

The individual defense deck will be increased from 10 to 15.

The defense deck for each base will be increased from 5 to 7.

The total attack count per Guild will be increased from 250 times to 350 times. The individual attack count will remain as 10 times MAX since the changes were made to let more users participate. 

The Siege Battle reward will also be increased by about 1.5x accordingly.

The multi-win reward will be added according to the season results for the Guild Rivals.

You’ll be able to participate in the winner prediction every week for Guild Rivals and you’ll get rewards when you make correct predictions for the winner.

You’ll be able to add up to 5 Summoners as mercenaries when users fail to participate in the Guild Rivals on the day of the battle.

New buildings will be added to the Mystic Island.

Various decorations, a building to produce Energy, and a building to produce Profession crafting materials will be added.

You’ll also be able to place the Lizardman Exploration HQ which is in the village on the Mystic Island.

New Summer Summoner Outfit will be added.

A transmogrification will be added for the Sword Spirit.

Transformations will be added for Light Magical Archer and Dark Penguin Knight.

The ATK of Light Magical Archer will be increased when you get the Magical Archer Transformation, and the acquired Field Monster Affinity will be increased as the transformation effect.

The HP of Dark Penguin Knight will be increased when you get the Penguin Knight Transformation and the acquired defeated creature Book will be increased when you defeat creatures after the transformation.

That’s all for the updates in July. Please note that some details are subject to change as they’re still under development.

We will be celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the Korea Launch in August. We’re preparing various events to celebrate this occasion.

We’re also planning to release the PvP content exclusive for Monsters and a new Mythic Raid which have been mentioned before.

We’re also preparing for a live stream meet-up to celebrate the 2nd anniversary.
