After yesterday livestream, I was really disappointed by the Dev choice on planning to release another female summoner. I started this game by coincidence because of a random video pop up on my YouTube titled “Roadmap 2024” that show a silhouette for an upcoming character, it shows such a cool and fresh-looking character that got me rooting for this game. After 8 months of waiting, on the anniversary Livestream it reveals that the character is a female and, in my eye, it just looks like it was yet another “Thirst trap” character to open more “room” to release attention grabbing outfit.
To me personally it was such a wasted opportunity for the game to expand and give more variety to player to express their own characteristics and of course a new playstyle! rather than to bring another Soleta-Ish looking character with a different weapon. I mean, if they really needed to release a skin that caught most of the player base attention the game still has a lot of room to expand on the Transmog for monsters.
As I mention before maybe the cause of my disappointment mainly was because how far off the silhouette and the revealed character actually are (I know on the video the dev said they still considering whether to make a new male or female character). Well, this is just my opinion regarding the matter, everyone can have different opinion, don't get me wrong the upcoming mythic raid and update looks really cool and very generous. But for me, i think after 700+ hours of playing and looking forward to play that badass character on the image above, The anniversary event going to be my last leg (might hop back in to help new guildmate!).
