Explained Easily:
Switching weapons on the elevators will teleport you back down/up back to where you where before using said elevator.
Explained in coding:
Priority of the weapon animation switching from idle wich is set over the elevator animation to forcing a new state wich is switching said weapon forces the elevator to have the going up/down animation to be cancelled.
And results in the player getting send back to the moment before the elevator animation occured.
To fix it, simply set the priority of the elevator animation of the player going up/down to a higher priority to make sure players will have their weapon change cancelled while being on said elevator.
After all you are not fighting on it so do it before or after.
I only noticed it as i was doing it mid-running to a repeat quest anyways.
Though it can work on your nerves to slowly have to now re-wait for that same elevator a 2nd time as you didnt know.
So i think it might be worth fixing in case a player like me is ever not afk playing.

(Edit: Only occurs when having auto quest mode on as i can only re-produce this bug when i had that on.
But when you dont have that mode on and you go on an elevator it works perfectly fine.
Tested and first noticed on the elevator between “Pilgrimage Road” and “Eyes of Plateau” in “Flurence”. in case you want to do testing for yourself.)
