DEV'S NOTE

March Update Information
GM Chronicles 02/28/2023

Greetings from the <Summoners War: Chronicles> team!

Prior to introducing the updates scheduled for March, thank you for your valuable feedback on the Summoners War: Chronicle Update Satisfaction Survey, which was held for 5 days from February 14th (Tue), 2023.

Today, based on the survey results, we will guide you through the updates scheduled for March.

▌Satisfaction with the February Update

About 56% of our Summoners had mostly positive opinions about the February update, and it was confirmed that in general, many of our Summoners were satisfied with the update content.

As for content they were satisfied with, Galagos Ruins took first place with 30.3%, followed by Guild Raid (22.9%) and Equipment Refinement (15.6%).

Thank you all the more for your positive response to the Galagos Ruins and Guild Raid, which were introduced after much thought and preparation.

We will also look carefully at the parts that you were not satisfied with and try to improve the game in the future.

▌Galagos Ruins

If you look at the opinions of Summoners on the content of Galagos Ruins, there were many positive reviews about the addition of the content that allows you to utilize the various Monsters you have grown.

However, we were able to confirm the opinion that it requires a lot of preparation and effort, such as requiring a lot of Monsters and requiring more strategic play than ever before, and that the difficulty of clearing it was rather high.

Also, one of the many requests from our Summoners was for a reset function to allow players to try out Galagos Ruins in various different ways.

We are preparing to reorganize Galagos Ruins by reflecting the opinions of our Summoners.

As it is in the preparation stage, it is still a bit too early to introduce the details, but we will let  you know through the future Update Notes.

▌Guild Raid

Next is Guild Raid.

Satisfaction with Guild Raid was confirmed as 41% positive, 30% average, and 22% negative.

One of the most common positive comments was being able to play with guild members, but some Summoners pointed out that it was difficult to match each guild member's schedule, and that sometimes guild members entered alone at unscheduled times.

Some Summoners also pointed out that when the guild raid entry button is pressed, you enter and the battle begins immediately, so a waiting lobby would be great for guild members to enter at the same time.

If you give us more improvement feedback regarding Guild Raid through our official forum or Customer Support, we will try to integrate them along with the feedback from the previous survey.

▌Equipment Refinement

Equipment refinement is scheduled to be updated to enhance usability.

We plan to add the ability to enhance while maintaining specific substats so that Summoners can enhance equipment while maintaining the substats they want, and material items that can increase the substat grade will also be added.

Also, if you prefer the substat you already have over the changed substat, we plan to add a function that allows you to select and keep the existing substat again in the future, so we hope you look forward to it.

▌Etc.

We will also inform you of additional updates scheduled for March.

First of all, 1:1 Friendly Battle content will be added, which follows the same rules as the Battle Arena.

You can create a friendly match from the Arena menu, and you can set the game mode, specific rules, or even set the match to be private.

You can participate directly in a created room according to the public settings or by invitation with an entry code, and you can enjoy PvP with various Summoners regardless of their server.

Next is the addition of a Training Ground.
In the Training Ground, you can measure skill damage by individually setting the number of training targets, their attributes, and whether they are normal Monsters or Boss.

In the Training Ground, you can intuitively check the Summoner or Monster's performance by attribute.
We expect this to be one of the favorite contents for our Summoners who want to play Chronicles in various combinations.

Next, we would like to introduce a system for beginner Summoners.

First of all, in the early part of the Chronicle's quest, "Back Stem of Wind", Inugami (Wind) will be given to help our Summoners instead of Gore (Water).

Gore (Water) will be going on a long needed vacation.

From now on, you can proceed with the early quests with Inugami (Wind).

For beginner Summoners who are not familiar with party dungeons such as Raid, Rupture, and Seal, a beginner mark will be attached if the number of successful raids is less than 10.
When running a dungeon with a Summoner with this mark, all party members will receive a bonus reward, allowing even novice Summoners to help and obtain more rewards.

This beginner system also applies to the Battlefield.

If you are on the same team as a beginner, that team will receive bonus rewards regardless of a win/loss.

While mentioning the Battlefield, we would also like to introduce additional improvements to the Battlefield. Bonus rewards received from mining points will be extended to not only MVPs but also 2nd and 3rd place players.
In addition, the ability to view detailed information about team members on the status board and results screen in the Battlefield will also be added.

The following are additional/improvement points related to the Hero Area.

A Creature Book will be added to the Hero Area, and all previously defeated records will be retroactively applied.

Also, you can check whether Bosses and Elite Monsters have respawned or their remaining time without entering each area, so you can play more comfortably.

Here are some other convenience improvements.

Soul Link mana usage rules/options will be changed.

The individual skill usage on/off function already exists, and the skill usage mana value is set based on the highest mana consumption value of the Summoner skill, so the existing mana value setting function will be removed.

The Summoner's Command mode UI will also be improved, so you have to select one of the 3 modes again after selecting the command button, but the existing functionality will be available with a single touch.

There have been many suggestions to check the items acquired while AFK, and a function to check the item reward history will be added to reflect this suggestion.

This function will be located in the [Reward History] at the bottom right of the Bag tab, and you can check the item reward history through this function after completing automatic hunting or continuous dungeon farming.

The way to charge the number of dungeon entries will also be improved.
When using crystals in the recharge pop-up menu for dungeon entry counts, the menu will be improved so that all counts can be charged at once, and additional charges can be added without consuming the dungeon entry counts.

Next are Rune-related improvements.

Rune management will be improved by allowing rune information to be checked in advance in the Rune Storage.

Among field events, some cooperative events (e.g. dancing) will be changed to participatory events, so that rewards do not depend on the number of people, so everyone can comfortably participate during the event time.

We've also seen many unfortunate situations where Summoners can't choose a ride with the desired appearance because of the unique movement speed of the ride. So from now on, the maximum speed of your rides will apply to all the rides you own.
We hope this improvement will allow you to freely use any ride you want in the future.

The final improvement is the ability to check the individual damage of your Summoner or Monster even in the party state, so that you can check the battle information in detail, and a function that announces a new season of the Collection Challenge will be added so that Summoners can participate without missing it. In addition, the ability to receive both Guild contributions and rewards have been added, so you can receive them all at once without pressing the reward one by one.

In addition, the Transmogrification of [Pioneer], a Monster that many of our Summoners love, will be added.

This Transmogrification can be purchased in the Arena Shop, so we recommend that you play Arena every day.

Going through the survey, we could see that a lot of our Summoners were waiting for a specific Monster to appear.

We would like to conclude the introduction of the March update by announcing the good news that this Monster will finally be available to be summoned to the world of Chronicles in March.

The update schedule and details of the contents mentioned in this Developer Note above can be found in the update note that will be posted in the future.

We here at the Chronicles team ask for your anticipation, and we will always communicate and work hard to always make Chronicles a better game.

Thank you.
