I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with the newly introduced constellation system.
Let’s start by comparing it to the previous systems and their rewards:
“Bookshelf” fully upgraded: ATK +4.6%, DEF +5.1%, HP +4.5%
“Spirit Research” fully upgraded: ATK +99, DEF +214, HP +2647
“Phantom Transformation” fully upgraded: ATK +90, DEF +90, HP +1300
Each system had its own traits, but overall, they offered steady and reasonable progress.
Now look at the constellation system — the stat inflation is just outrageous:
HP +11816, HP +16%
ATK +768, ATK +16%
DEF +1002, DEF +16%
And an extra passive skill on the sixth constellation
Not only are the stats off the charts, but to max out the constellation system, it requires 304 fragments!
Did the dev team consider how unfair this is to long-time players?
We already had to farm 100 fragments just to achieve full awakening. Many of us,
especially those who completed triple awakening for “Spirit Research,”
have already exchanged excess fragments (at a 3:1 rate) after reaching max awakening.
And now you’re telling us we need 204 more fragments?
Are long-time, dedicated players just a joke to you?
This isn’t an “update” — it’s a punishment for early adopters who have invested time,
effort, and resources into building up their monsters.
Do you realize what this means?
Past investments are now meaningless
Full awakening is no longer enough — if you don’t upgrade constellations, your monster is instantly outclassed
Monsters we worked hard to raise now feel fragile and underpowered
I understand the need to introduce new progression systems, but brute-forcing power creep without respecting prior investments is the fastest way to alienate your loyal player base. It leaves us feeling disappointed, betrayed, and unsure if this game is even worth continuing.
Summoners War 1 was a rune game.
Summoners War 3 is now a fragment grinding simulator.
With this kind of update, one has to wonder:
Is this still the game we once loved?
